Plano-altimetric survey
Building on a solid foundation
For building development projects in Zanzibar and Dodoma, IMG S.r.l. exports Italian technical expertise. We combine our profound knowledge of this territory, which we love and respect, with our technical and administrative resources, starting with a correct topographical survey, the so-called plano-altimetric survey.
This is the basis of a good project and is the evolution of the traditional survey, as it combines the characteristics of the planimetric survey, which aims to give a description of the earth’s surface, with those of the altimetric survey, which, having identified a series of support and detail points on the ground, establishes the relationships between them.
The plano-altimetric survey is not a supplementary appendix, but the basis from which to avoid approximate results. Many people start from aerial photogrammetry or rely on digital map extracts. However, nothing can replace a correct topographical survey, otherwise critical issues may appear during the project or, worse, it may not be feasible.
The benefits of a correct planimetric survey
IMG and a qualified team make it possible to carry out the necessary operations for a valid planimetric survey and thus achieve greater initial accuracy of the project. By determining boundaries and distances, the correct height differences, shapes, slopes, and the position of trees, roads, and fences, the work will be set up correctly from the start.
After the surveys, tracing is carried out. The data collected on natural elements such as morphology, vegetation and hydrography are particularly important in these regions, where previous documentation is often lacking. As a result, the correct solutions are adopted from the outset and unforeseen events are limited during construction.
For example, the determination of existing boundaries is essential to avoid future disputes, and height differences and ground contours can affect earthwork volumes. This data is transformed into a project, in which needs, budget and feasibility are matched. IMG technicians are available for planimetric surveys and planning.
